Nebraska Secretary of State business data via API

The Cobalt Intelligence Secretary of State API allows you to get business data all via API!

Today we showcase how to get business data from Nebraska.

Reach out for an API key.

Example of calling by business name:

const url = `${encodeURIComponent(businessName)}&state=${state}`;
const axiosResponse = await axios.get(url, { headers: { 'x-api-key': this.apiKey } });

Example of calling by entity/secretary of state id:

const url = `${encodeURIComponent(sosId)}&state=${state}`;

const axiosResponse = await axios.get(url, { headers: { 'x-api-key': this.apiKey } });

Hey, it worked, you know, my, my recording hasn’t I put anyway, cobalt intelligence on Jordan Hansen. We’re talking about the secretary of state API. We’re talking about North Dakota today. It’s going to be right here. We just added it fresh off the presses. We support North Dakota. Now we’re going to come over here.

North Dakota is one that we pretty fast. I’m going to search for Diablo because of the games. Diablo two, we mastered, I was a big fan. Oh, devil mud motors. I like that. It’s pretty to come over here. We’re gonna search that business. Okay. The Coda. And I’m going to impugn search or MPM start. I’m using the SDK right here.

We have an SDK it’s JavaScript to come over here. You install it. And then you import SOS, API. You passing your API key that you get from over here. See the API key and you get businesses. And you say business, same state, all that stuff. And you’ll get data back. Look how fast that was. Now we don’t have to necessarily use Della mud.

Boom. You can type in, you can search just partial name, match, and it’ll find the first one that’s active. If it doesn’t find any of the actives, it’s just the first, last one finds or find some random one. If they’re expired. Oh, it’s the same one for this one. Um, how about pizza? Pasta? That’s what I bought.

You can also search by entity ID or S O S I D as I like to call it. Oh, it didn’t find a name with pasta. Okay. Well, that’s not as fun with the Coda and passing this nice SOC D right here.

There we go to SSAB. Now, if you don’t want to use the SDK, I’m not offended. You don’t hurt my feelings. You come over here. You call directly to us with a Peggy slash search search query. And you pass in your business name and your state. You can include, I think you should encode it just in case the business name has an ampersand.

Otherwise it’ll mess up the way. Put your API key and the headers like this C headers X API key. And if you want to, uh, the problem is this is what the STK is nice for, is that it can handle all retries. Every state has the possibility. If the state is receiving a lot of load, we queue the messages. We make sure we don’t hit them too much.

And it’s a possibility to get retry D. And so if you don’t get your data back, you’ll get a retry ID and it says, Hey, you can use this to come back and you go over and you say, okay, sure. And you say, I want to go to this URL. You pass in a search, you pass in a retry ID in the query parameter with the API key, and you’ll keep trying until it’s done.

And then I’ll send it back and say, Hey, good job. And that is the cobalt intelligence secretary of state API searching North Dakota. That’s all good API key. Use it.
